After notching up their first loss of the 2013/14 NBL season, going down by 5 points to the Adelaide 36ers two days earlier, the Perth Wildcats played like they had something to prove to their fans and the NBL.
Sam Young, the 249 game NBA veteran, made his NBL and Sydney Kings debut. The Ennis-Young show was on from the first ball up. With the two imports matching up against eachother, the fans were in for a world class show. And the vertict – Ennis 1 – Young 0.
The Wildcats were too strong, fast and accurate from the first minute, leading from the first exchange. At the final buzzer the Wildcats were back in the winners circle, taking the game 98-55, to record their largest winning margin since the NBL changed to 10 minute quarters.
