NBL Photo Of The Year

On Friday 4th April the National Basketball League (NBL) announced the winners of its 2013/14 G-Shock Media Awards. I am happy and honoured to announce that my photo of James Ennis’ monster dunk in round two of the NBL Championship has been awards the NBL Photo Of the Year . You can read about it here on the NBL Website. I posted this photo on my website, Twitter and Facebook immediately following the game and it went viral. For me, its the one photo of mine that captures the excitment and entertainment Jame Ennis’ brings to every game. Ennis is truly an NBA caliber player (there is a reason he is on the Miami Heat list), and Perth fans have been truly lucky to watch him play all season long. As I write this I am preparing my gear for game one of the NBL Grand Final series, which kicks off tomorrow (Monday 7th April) against the Adelaide 36ers. With is being highly unlikely that James Ennis will return to the Wildcats (or NBL) next season, with either a berth at the Miami Heat or a big offer from a European club very much a certainty, its possibly the last chance Perth will get a chance to see Ennis grace the Perth Arena (that is unless game three is required). So do yourself a favour and get down to the Perth Arena tomorrow night and support your Perth Wildcats as they take aim at their sixth NBL Championship. Here is the photo that won me the NBL Photo of The Year Award.
