As a sports photographer most of my time is spent shooting with both feet firmly planted on the ground….or better yet I’m often sitting down. But recently I was lucky enough to get up in the air and shoot Perth from up above.
– Camera. Check
– Great weather. Check
– A good friend that happens to be a pilot. Check
– A small plane that looks smaller and smaller as your get closer to it. Check
After some pre-checks we were ready to take to the skies. This was our aircraft for the next couple of hours…..
The flight plan was to fly over and around Rottnest Island then head back inland towards the Fremantle coastline and head north towards the Hillarys Boat Harbour / Marina, passing some of Perth’s landmarks along the way, including Cottesloe Beach and Scarborough Beach.
Here are a few of the pictures from the flight – I’ll release more in another post in a few weeks time. Stay tuned.
